These weights are designed to hold your bait on the bottom, resist currents and maximise casting distance on powerful casts.

Practical tips: favour pyramids on soft bottoms, Portuguese weights for long-distance casting in calm seas, and grapnels/anchors when the current is strong. Test several weights depending on the swell and tidal speed to find the optimal hold.
