Which reel to choose?

Rod balance

Choose a reel suited to your rod, meaning a reel that will balance the rod.

Reel size

It is also important to match the reel size (line weight) with the power of the rod and the size of the fly line used.

The drag

The quality of the drag is paramount when fishing with fine-diameter tippets — it must be smooth and progressive.
