The ratchet wheel N°12 is the central gear of the semi-automatic retrieval mechanism of the Vivarelli GRL7100 reel. Inspired by the principle of a bicycle bell, it transmits and multiplies the lever movement to wind several meters of fly line with each actuation. A worn or damaged wheel directly degrades the speed and reliability of retrieval.
