Common pheasant wing feathers

Common pheasant wings are a particularly versatile material for fly tying. They bring together many feathers with natural brown shades and characteristic speckled markings.

Depending on their size and texture, these feathers can be used to tie wet flies, dry flies, emergers, sedges or streamers. Their fibers are also well suited for making wings, tails, legs or tails. A single pair thus offers many possibilities for creating imitations, particularly for trout and grayling.
