Petitjean CDC Oil is a fine oil specially formulated to preserve and optimise the floatation of flies tied with cul-de-canard (CDC) feathers.
This product comes from the expertise of Swiss fly tyer and inventor Marc Petitjean, recognised for his mastery in the use of CDC.
The oil is applied in very small quantities, directly onto the feathers, using the integrated dosing tip. It does not saturate the fly, does not weigh it down, and helps maintain the natural buoyancy of CDC fibres. It is ideal for delicate patterns such as emergers, spent flies and very slim ties.
CDC Oil is colourless, odourless, non-greasy to the touch, and silicone-free. It is designed to be used as a complement to a fly desiccant, after drying, in order to restore optimal floatation without altering the properties of the CDC.
The bottle contains approximately 15 ml of oil and is fitted with a precise dropper to avoid waste. Its compact format makes it easy to carry in a pocket or chest pack.
