Highly supple woven leader made by Pêche à Soie. It connects easily to the fly line by simply inserting the tip of the fly line inside the woven section of the leader.
This system ensures a discreet, flexible and effective connection, promoting excellent energy transmission during casting as well as a natural fly presentation.
Drawing on decades of experience in silk thread weaving, the Pêche à Soie team has rethought and redesigned the profile of this fly leader to ensure precise presentations with no energy loss. Woven with a high-performance nylon thread well known among anglers, the Stroft.
You simply connect it by threading the tip of your fly line inside the leader. Then just apply a drop of glue and you're done. You get a knot-free connection in the exact continuation of the fly line, passing perfectly through the guides.
Leaders are supplied with a piece of large-diameter nylon already inserted in the braid. Before installation, remove this nylon and insert the tip of your fly line in its place. This retaining nylon serves to perfectly maintain the opening and shape of the braid, making the quick and precise insertion of the fly line tip easier.
To achieve the best performance from your leader, it is recommended to grease it entirely before each use. Applying the product to a perfectly dry leader ensures better adhesion and optimal effectiveness. This treatment improves floatability, promotes a more natural fly presentation, and optimizes drift control on the surface. Greasing can be done with the same product used for the maintenance and floatability of dry flies, making it a simple and practical solution at the waterside. Regular maintenance also ensures better longevity of the leader and consistent performance across fishing sessions.
