Drawing on decades of experience in silk thread weaving, the Pêche à Soie team redesigned and reengineered the profile of this fly leader to ensure precise, energy-efficient presentations. Woven with a high-performance nylon thread well known among anglers, the Stroft.

Key features

• The woven section (length 1.50 m, 2 m and 3 m) is tapered and ends with a small loop, allowing the tippet to be changed at will depending on fishing conditions. Your woven section has an excellent lifespan.
• Supplied with a 2 m nylon tippet made up of 3 sections. Final tippet in 14/100 for leader no. 1 and 16/100 for leader no. 2. The tippet can be modified at will depending on fishing conditions.
• No memory for very precise presentations.
• No twist, and robust thanks to a very tight weave. The woven section must be greased before each fishing session.

Usage tips

You simply connect it by threading the tip of your fly line into the inside of the leader. Then just apply a drop of glue and you're done. You get a knot-free connection in the exact continuation of the fly line that passes perfectly through the rings.
Leaders are supplied with a piece of large-diameter nylon already inserted into the braid. Before installation, this nylon should be removed and the tip of your fly line inserted in its place. This retaining nylon is designed to perfectly preserve the opening and shape of the braid, facilitating quick and precise insertion of the fly line tip.

To achieve the best performance from your leader, it is recommended to grease it entirely before each use. Applying the product to a perfectly dry leader ensures better adhesion and optimal effectiveness. This treatment improves floatability, promotes a more natural fly presentation, and optimizes drift control on the surface. Greasing can be done with the same product used for the maintenance and floatability of dry flies, making it a simple and practical solution at the waterside. Regular maintenance also guarantees better longevity of the leader and consistent performance over successive fishing sessions.
