Description
Rubion is a reddish-brown shade, sometimes veering towards russet or dark copper, with dark to blackish brown barring. The contrast is pronounced yet harmonious, giving the feather a luminous appearance without being excessive.
The variation between grades is mainly explained by two determining parameters.
It is primarily the fibre length as well as the pique — that is, their density and orientation — that determine the classification into different grades.
