Description
The RIO Metered shooting line is the ultimate shooting line, combining features that promote long casts, better hooksets, and more effective fishing. Its low-stretch core provides enhanced bite detection, more positive hooksets, and optimal control during the fight with the fish.
This line also integrates RIO's RangeFinder system, with a color change every 3 meters, making it easy to accurately estimate distance on each cast and systematically cover an entire zone.
A short front taper stabilizes the cast to ensure distance and long casts. Large welded loops at both ends allow for quick rigging changes.
The line also features SlickCast technology, which offers the slickest and most durable coating on the market, with the lowest coefficient of friction ever measured on a fly line.
Shooting line weight correspondence:
- 0.66 mm / 20 lb = 200 - 450 gr
- 0.84 mm / 20 lb = 450 - 575 gr
- 0.94 mm / 30 lb = 575 - 675 gr
- 1.07 mm / 30 lb = 675 gr and above
