Choosing the right tint:

The Amber tint is one of the most popular among fly fishers thanks to its ability to enhance contrasts and improve depth perception. It effectively filters blue light, making it easier to distinguish structures beneath the water, current seams, obstacles and sometimes even the silhouettes of fish. It offers warmer and more contrasted vision than grey, while remaining versatile.

The Yellow tint is designed to greatly increase perceived brightness and amplify contrasts. In fly fishing, it is particularly effective in low-light situations: overcast weather, fog, heavy shade, early morning or late evening. Thanks to its ability to brighten the scene and improve detail definition, it makes it easier to distinguish subtle movements, water seams, obstacles and sometimes even the shadow or silhouette of fish.
