Its operation is simple: just place the fly between the two layers and press gently to absorb residual moisture. This method preserves delicate fibres, particularly CDC (cul-de-canard) ones, without distorting the tie. It is a practical alternative to natural amadou, which is more fragile and sensitive to moisture.

The Rubycell CFA-30 is compact, lightweight and attaches easily to a vest or chest pack thanks to its back support with a clip. It is reusable many times over and dries quickly in the open air.
