Built for big fish

The 113 BLH is mainly used for nymphs, particularly for fishing large trout or in fast water, where a strong and deeply penetrating hook is needed. It can also be used for slightly bulkier dry flies, provided the materials are carefully balanced to prevent the heavier hook from sinking the fly.
Thanks to its reinforced shank and inward-facing point, it offers a good compromise between strength, hold and penetration, while remaining barbless for gentler fish handling. It is often chosen as a more robust alternative to the 103BL, especially when targeting large specimens or when greater confidence at hook-setting is required.

Specifications:

• Single hook, straight shank, barbless, round eye.
• Wire strength: 1XH (heavier than the 3XF of the 103BL), which improves hold against large fish and extended fights.
• Eye: angled downward ("down eye"), which helps to properly position the fly and limit rotation.
• Finish: matt black
• Point: inward-facing, very sharp, optimized for good hook-setting and secure fish retention.
