The Redington Wrangler 9-foot 4-weight kit is perfectly suited for fly fishing for trout. The rod has a fast action, yet supple enough to allow you to feel the rod working during casts, whether with the fly line or the leader.
It is ideal for fishing all types of rivers, both at short range and when extending casts to more distant areas.
The kit includes:
- a Wrangler 9' 4-weight rod, 4-piece, with medium-fast action
- a Redington Crosswater IV 4/5/6 reel (latest generation), composite, fitted with a carbon disc drag. Its weight and balance pair perfectly with the rod
- a RIO Mainstream WF4F floating fly line, with weight-forward (WF) taper
- a RIO Powerflex leader of 2.70 m, tapered to 4X (0.17 mm)
- a rigid Cordura-type rod tube, allowing you to store the assembled rod with its reel
