Description
After several years of research and development, SAGE introduces a comprehensive new series of Spey rods: 13 two-handed rod models, ranging from the 12'6 line weight 5 to the 15' line weight 10, all featuring the exclusive R8 technology.
Each model has its own action, as each rod meets a specific need depending on the size of the rivers fished, the strength of the currents, their depth, and the target fish species.
This type of fishing requires rods capable of casting and recasting precisely and efficiently. A good two-handed rod must be able to propel and reposition a line and fly intuitively and comfortably, with minimum fatigue and maximum pleasure in casting and drift control.
The R8 technology, exclusive to SAGE, optimizes the three essential phases of the Spey Cast :
- Lift : the action of lifting the line from the water to form the D-loop.
- Load : the loading phase of the rod during the formation of the D-loop.
- Delivery : the phase of transferring energy from the rod to the fly line, leader, and fly.
