Description
After several years of research and development, SAGE presents a new and very comprehensive range of Spey rods: 13 two-handed rod models, ranging from the 12'6 line 5 to the 15' line 10, benefiting from the exclusive R8 technology.
Each model has its own action, as each rod meets a specific need depending on the size of the rivers fished, the strength of the currents, their depth, and the species of fish targeted.
This type of fishing requires rods capable of casting and recasting precisely and efficiently. A good two-handed rod must be able to propel and reposition a line and its fly in an intuitive and comfortable way, with minimum fatigue and maximum pleasure in casting and controlling the drift.
The R8 technology, exclusive to SAGE, optimises the three essential phases of the Spey Cast:
- Lift: the action of lifting the line from the water to form the D-loop.
- Load: the loading phase of the rod during the formation of the D-loop.
- Delivery: the phase of transferring energy from the rod to the fly line, leader and fly.
