The Sub-Sedge imitates a dead caddisfly drifting on the water surface, a particularly favored prey for trout and grayling when insects are carried along by the current.

    Description

Its air bubble in plastic film gives it a very natural presentation, allowing it to drift right at the water's surface film and faithfully reproduce the appearance of an inert insect.

Usage tip: avoid pinching the bubble between your fingers in order to preserve its buoyancy.

    Characteristics:

    • Tails and antennae: mallard breast feather (beige)
    • Body: synthetic dubbing
    • Thorax: air bubble in plastic film
    • Hook: TMC 921

Avoid false casts — the goal is to keep the fly wet so it stays well below the water surface. You should start by thoroughly soaking your fly before casting.
