How to choose your spinning spoon?

The size

You should try to match the size of the prey of the predators you are targeting. Depth will also be a determining factor. For example, where a size 2 spoon is perfect at the start of the season, during low water (summer water level drop), a 00 should be used to avoid snagging.

The color

Even though there are no absolute rules, here are a few guidelines:

• Silver: clear waters in the morning and evening when the light fades
• Gold / copper: brown, peaty waters (tea-colored). This is the ultimate all-purpose color
• Black: perfect for bright days or very murky water
• Fluo: perfect for very murky water or low light conditions
