The KGB Chad Shad 180, an American-style swimbait by Spro. The top choice for monster pike and bass fishing. Inspired by handmade hard lures, this jointed swimbait has an ultra-natural swimming action and can handle all retrieval speeds. It is a lure that will swim between 90 and 130cm deep. Even deeper if you add additional weight to the belly hook. Hooks mounted on 360° rolling swivels to limit hook drops.

The action

• On a straight retrieve, cast and reel in slowly and the lure will perform a beautiful S-shaped swimming action. 
• On a Stop & Go retrieve, pause your retrieval and the lure will perform a lateral dart. Deadly for triggering the strike of a following fish.
• With twitches, punctuating your retrieve with sharp rod tip movements, the KGB Chad Shad will perform lateral darts like a jerkbait. For longer darts, leave a little slack in your line.

The colour

As for colour, as a general rule, the starting point will be the environment. The clearer it is, the more you will use natural colours; the more opaque it is, the more you will use flashy or dark shades, going even as far as black. This is a base that will need to be adjusted depending on the day.
