The rod: The Tenryu Injection BC 80 XXH is a casting rod designed for big pike fishing with shads, swimbaits and other big baits. Its blank is made of 87% carbon and 13% fibreglass in order to provide a rod that is responsive yet flexible enough to cast large lures comfortably and efficiently while minimising the risk of hook pulls.

The reel: what better than the reference casting reel for big bait fishing, the Calcutta Conquest 301 MD XG. Ultra robust, ultra smooth (12 bearings), it benefits from the best Shimano technologies to guarantee very high-level performance.

The braid: we selected the YGK Ultra Castman WX8 braid in PE4, which is capable of withstanding repeated casts with heavy lures and eliminates the risk of breakage in the event of a backlash. As well as being very durable, it is also super smooth and supple, allowing you to gain a few extra metres with every cast.
