The relatively short head (11 m) concentrates more weight toward the rear, which makes it easier to turn over heavier flies. The short front taper, combined with a tapered body, also allows large dry flies to be cast with precision and delicacy.
The short rear taper and heavy body allow for excellent roll casts, even with heavy rigs, and facilitate line turnover at distance.
This fly line loads a rod as if it were one size above the AFFTA standard, thus offering more power without sacrificing precision.
