• Hare dubbing is used in the composition of a large number of classic flies such as dry flies and emergers.
• It is a versatile material, appreciated by both beginner and experienced fly tyers alike.
• It combines simplicity, effectiveness and realism, and remains to this day one of the most widely used dubbings in the world of fly fishing.

Use in fly tying

• Hare dubbing can be used pure to achieve a very natural appearance.
• It can also be blended with other fibers such as antron or synthetic materials to add sparkle or buoyancy.
• A small amount is sufficient: simply roll the dubbing onto a lightly waxed tying thread or between two threads, then wrap it to form the body.
• By lightly brushing the surface, a few hairs are raised to imitate the legs or gills of insects.
