MARRYAT WISDOM fly rod

Wisdom: balance according to Marryat

True to the meaning of its name, this range is based on a balanced approach, favoring coherence and accessibility over an excessive pursuit of elitist performance. The idea is to offer effective, versatile rods at a reasonable price.

• We find the characteristic Marryat action, known for its progressive taper and great fluidity. This action allows two line weights to be absorbed and effectively exploited, offering true versatility depending on fishing situations and the angler's preferences.
• All rods are designed in four sections to facilitate transport. They are fitted with single-foot guides complemented by an alconite stripping guide, ensuring smooth line flow and excellent durability.
• The AAA cork handle measures 165 mm long with a diameter of 23 mm, ensuring a comfortable and precise grip. The reel seats are mounted with a down-locking system across the entire series, with the exception of the 9' model, in order to optimize the specific balance of that reference.
• The Wisdom series thus embodies a considered vision of performance, combining progressive action, versatility and a controlled price point, for a fishing experience that is both accessible and lasting.

Specifications:

• 9' #4/5: The essential rod, the go-to fly fishing rod. Its dual line weight allows use throughout the entire season (rod without fighting butt)

• 10' #3/4: This model, soft and lightweight yet with a nice responsiveness, offers dry/nymph versatility for summer grayling fishing for example (rod with fighting butt)
• 10' #4/5: This is also a go-to model for a fly fisher who fishes on medium or large rivers. The ability to use two line weights allows the same rod to handle the start of the season and then low-water periods (rod with fighting butt)
• 10' #6/7: Reservoirs, lakes and chironomid fishing, but also large rivers with a WF5! This rod is designed for medium to heavy fishing while still offering a good power reserve. (rod with fighting butt)
• 10'3 #2/3 NYMPH: Versatile in its possible use with dry flies but also with modern nymphing techniques. (rod with fighting butt)
• 10'6 #3/4NYMPH: With its stripping guide close to the handle, you can immediately recognize a dedicated nymphing rod. The soft action in the first two thirds of the blank allows easy turnover of the leader. This rod is slightly less powerful than its bigger sibling in the Tactical Pro series. (rod with fighting butt)
