Fine phosphorescent tinsel that emits luminosity underwater. It recharges in daylight or with our UV lamps.

Phosphorescent tinsel "charges up" in light (headlamp, sunlight, UV…) then emits a glow in the dark or in dark water. Result: your fly remains visible when light levels drop (evening, night, dawn, heavy overcast) or in coloured/deep water. Highly appreciated for reservoir fishing where it is possible to fish late into the evening.
In practice: super useful for end-of-day fishing, in deep lakes, in slightly coloured rivers, or with fish that hunt by sight but in low light.
Even during the day, many glow tinsels are also fluorescent/UV-active: this creates strong contrast and a little "hot spot". It helps the fish to lock onto the fly as a target (body, thorax, ribbing), especially on nymphs and streamers.
The tinsel provides reflections + micro-movements that mimic the sheen of a nymph/chironomid abdomen, scales/fry on a streamer, an "air bubble / trigger" on certain emergers.
