The Ahrex FW550 Mini Jig is a modern jig hook, perfectly suited to competition-style patterns with slightly shorter bodies. Ultra-sharp, it features a short shank and a very wide gap, with a slightly inturned point to optimise hook sets. Its long, fine point reduces fish losses during the fight while allowing easy catch-and-release.

Like all jig hooks, it is ideal for presenting the nymph close to the bottom. Its 60-degree bent eye allows the fly to swim point-up when used with a slotted tungsten bead, significantly reducing snagging on the bottom.

The point is chemically sharpened for immediate penetration and the wire is strong enough to handle all situations. The discreet barb can be crushed in seconds. All Ahrex FW hooks are also available in a barbless version. Each box contains 24 hooks, offering excellent value for money.
