Each component was selected to complement the others and perform effectively across a wide range of species, from bonefish and permit to striped bass and other coastal predators. The complete setup handles a broad range of situations with precision and reliability.

A versatile, highly responsive SAGE R8 Salt rod

The SAGE R8 Salt 8-weight is a go-to saltwater rod thanks to its versatility and ease of use. Its R8 technology delivers remarkable stability, eliminating unwanted vibrations for crisp, tight casts.

The rod loads quickly, enabling effective casts with fewer false casts. It excels when quick reactions matter, particularly when targeting moving fish. Its reserve of power lets you fight fish with confidence while maintaining finesse and precision in your presentations.

SAGE ENFORCER Tempest Blue 7/8 reel, control and durability

The ENFORCER reel provides a perfect balance with this 8-weight setup, especially in the 7/8 size. Its smooth, powerful drag helps keep fish under control while allowing for a lighter touch when conditions demand it.

Its durable forged-aluminum construction provides excellent longevity in saltwater environments. Fast line retrieval and generous backing capacity ensure full control during long runs.

RIO Elite Flats Pro fly line for precision on the flats

The RIO Elite Flats Pro WF8F is an excellent match for this setup. It enables quick, accurate casts at both short and long range. Its taper makes it easy to cast a variety of flies while ensuring a subtle presentation.

Thanks to its DirectCore core, it offers excellent strike detection and instant hooksets. Its coating provides optimal shooting performance, even in hot, saltwater conditions.

A versatile saltwater fishing setup

This package is designed for anglers looking for a setup that can adapt to many situations. It lets you fish effectively on the flats, along the coast, or in estuaries with a wide variety of flies and approaches.
